Commercial overview

Semi-trailer import document checklist

A factory order becomes an importable shipment only when the commercial, technical and logistics files describe the same equipment and parties.

Align the contract and specification

Confirm seller, buyer, model, quantity, configuration, price basis, approved drawings, accepted substitutions and inspection scope. The technical appendix must not contradict the commercial order.

Prepare the commercial file

Check the proforma or commercial invoice, packing data, product description, quantities, values, Incoterms and parties. Final document names and formats depend on the transaction and route.

Connect inspection and shipping records

Link release photos, exception closure, serial or project identification, loading information and transport documents to the approved order file.

Confirm destination requirements before shipment

The buyer and qualified destination specialists must confirm classification, duties, taxes, certification, homologation, registration and importer requirements. Factory export documents do not replace local approval.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is one document list valid for every country?

Does a complete factory file guarantee local registration?
